Update: March 26, 2020 (12:00 PM ET): Samsung announced its first-ever foldable smartphone in the first half of 2019, only to delay the handset’s launch after early review units started breaking. Eventually, Samsung released the improved Galaxy Fold in September, but it wasn’t until now that the handset finally started seeing the update to Android 10.
According to SamMobile, Samsung just started rolling out the OTA update for the Galaxy Fold in France. It features the latest version of Android with One UI 2.1 on top and the March 2020 security patch in tow.
Unfortunately, it looks like the update hasn’t left France just yet, and it’s only available on 4G models. Though this first update landed ahead of the company’s initial schedule, it’s still disappointing that it took this long, especially considering how expensive it is. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take much longer for the update to roll out to the rest of the variants.
